Hi, I’m back! After taking summer off, I’m back to blogging about your nutrition and fitness needs.

Today’s topic is “How to get those 5 servings of fruits and vegies into your diet on a daily basis.

First, I want to tell you how I used to HATE spinach, cooked slimy spinach. My second grade teacher told me if I wanted desert, I would have to eat ALL my slimy spinach on my gray plastic lunch tray.  Why I cared about a piece of white bread with sugary jelly slathered all over it, I’ll never know! But that was the beginning of my hatred towards the cooked green slimy leaf.

Until I discovered that if you don’t eat red meat you need another source of iron and guess what? SPINACH is rich in iron.

This is where I’m going to share with you how to get that iron rich raw leafy green and other vegies & fruit into you diet on a daily basis.
